About ICDA
The 1st edition of the ICDA, I International Conference on Design and Animation – Crossroads, will be held in the southernmost region of Portugal, at the University of Algarve in Faro, on February 17th and 18th, 2022, in online format, due to the current restrictions of COVID 19.
MISSION - ICDA will be a space for the sharing of experiences, research and knowledge in the areas of Communication Design and Animation, with incidence on “Crossroads”, aiming to explore the borders between these two areas.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES. - The creation of a space for reflection and dialogue between students, researchers and professionals, in order to improve the cross-connections in the areas of Communication Design and Animation;- The participants will share a space that can provide the update of scientific knowledge in the areas of the conference;- Promotion of the interchange of knowledge and reflection between companies and academia on the challenges arising from the connections of Communication Design and Animation.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND - Researchers, academics, students and professionals in the fields of Communication Design and Animation, whose work fits the theme of the conference.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Papers and abstracts sent to the 1 ICDA must be written in one of the official languages of the event (English or Portuguese). Each article should have between 8 and 10 pages, including all texts, figures or tables, bibliographic references and notes. The text must be written in Times New Roman, 12 pts. Upper and lower margins of 2.5 cm, left and right 3 cm, spacing between lines 1.5. We recommend using the template as a basis for formatting your article. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 10 October. Papers will be included in a publication with ISBN. After being accepted, the final version of the papers and posters must be submitted on the easychair.org website by 28 January.
- Abstracts and posters sent to the 1 ICDA must be written in one of the official languages of the event (English or Portuguese). Abstracts must have a maximum of 300 words, be submitted in digital format, on the easychair.org website, according to the template, until 10 October. Abstracts will be published with an ISBN.
- The poster must include: title, name of the author(s), institution, position and e-mail; Abstract in Portuguese or English; Five keywords in Portuguese or English.
- The final version of the posters must be submitted on the easychair.org website by 28 January.
- The posters will be displayed by the I ICDA team on our website - https://www.icda.pt/
