About the Conference
The Association of Training Institutions for Foreign Trade in Asia and the Pacific (ATIFTAP), together with the Association of Marketing Educators (AME) of the Philippines and St. Scholastica's College-Manila, is organizing the 11th Global Business Conference on Saturday; March 3, 2018. This year’s theme is: “Connection Collective: Borderless”.
The conference aims to summon practitioners, entrepreneurs, business experts, researchers and educators to present researches which lead businesses to attain global competitiveness. The Global Business Conference (GBC) encourages the promotion of global trade research & development to enrich managerial, export, and organizational competitiveness of SMEs in the Asia-Pacific region. The annual conference has become the venue for educators, students, researchers, and business practitioners to network with each other and share updates on global business. On its 11th year, the GBC calls for proposals on the following areas:
1. International Accounting 7. Management Information Systems
2. International Business Law 8. International Marketing
3. International Economics 9. Strategic Management
4. International Finance 10. Pedagogy
5. International Business 11. Other topics related to global business & management
6. International Tourism
Guidelines for abstract submission:
- Abstracts (500 words) should be submitted to EasyChair via the link https://tinyurl.com/11thGBC-submission on or before the extended date: January 5, 2018
- To submit, an EasyChair account is required. On the log in page, click “create an account” and follow the succeeding instructions. Submitted abstracts must not have been presented, scheduled for presentation, published or accepted for publication. No changes in the abstract title, authorship, and title can occur after it has been submitted to avoid errors in the publishing process. The research chair will email you your JGB Code after abstract submission. Please take note of this code for your full paper submission.
Guidelines for the full paper submission:
- Full Paper (maximum number of pages is 15 including references and appendices) should be 1) electronically submitted in PDF format to https://tinyurl.com/11thGBC-submission via your account on EasyChair on or before January 31, 2018; 5PM for possible inclusion in the Journal of Business. Kindly name your file in the following format: [JGB Code]. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Only those papers that have passed the reviewer’s criteria and submitted within the deadline will be included in the Journal of Global Business (CD or online). For issues in uploading submissions, please send an email at 11thgbc2018@gmail.com.
- Use Times New Roman 12-point font, single spaces, 1 inch (5 cm.) margin all around, and 8.27”X11.69” (21 cm x 29.7cm) A4 page setting.
- Number all pages of the paper in the bottom right corner.
- Please follow the template/order of headings. (Note: No names of submitting authors or their affiliations should be mentioned in the paper.):

APPENDIX
- Use the APA Format in citations and references. References should be numbered and listed in alphabetical order. Appendix should be labeled in letters like Appendix A, B, etc.
- Tables and Figures should be numbered “1”, “2”, “3”, etc. The title should be centered and boldfaced with upper and lower case letters. Please refer to all photos, illustrations, or diagrams as figures.
- The e-journal will be given to the National Library. No hard copies of the journal will be printed.
The organizers will give the following certificates:- Certificate that the paper has been presented in the 11th GBC and
- Certificate that the paper has been accepted for the Journal of Global Business (CD format or online) when it has passed the reviewer’s standards and has complied with the deadlines for submission, editing, revision, etc. A certificate can also be given for papers included in the Conference Proceedings (ISSN 2362-7832)
- Publication Process
- After your full-text submission, your paper will be forwarded to external reviewers for the peer-review.
- The reviewers will grade and comment on your paper.
- The average score of your paper will determine whether your paper will be published Online, on CD format, or in our Conference Proceedings.
- Physical attendance of the author and their presentation of their paper on the conference day are required to be part of the Journal publication.
- Incentives. A certificate of recognition will be given to the winners of the Best Paper
- Best Marketing Paper award
