10:00-15:00 Session 1: Doctoral Consortium

The consortium is designed to serve as a development workshop for both doctoral students and junior faculty. For that purpose, the consortium has two major parts. In the first part there are two round tables, one to discuss and exchange ideas on how to prepare for life after dissertation and face the publishing challenge, and another focused on career possibilities (teaching vs research, administrative task), in different contexts (Latin America vs US or Europe/Spain/Portugal) with senior and junior scholars. In the second part of the consortium participants will have the opportunity to present their own research and receive feedback from senior faculty with a large and fruitful publication experience. Participants on the doctoral consortium will then have the opportunity to joint the special session provided by CARMA.

Location: Bywater 1
13:00-15:30 Session 2: PDW Session : Corporate networks and Business leaders in Latin America
