Third International Conference on Documentary Linguistics – Asian Perspectives (DLAP-3) will be held at Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Mahidol University, Thailand on the 23 – 24 July 2018.
Conference Theme
The theme for DLAP-3 will be ‘Working with communities: Toward reclamation of linguistic and cultural heritage’.
The aim of the conference is to think about benefits, methodologies, and challenges of working with communities in attempts to revitalize linguistic and cultural heritage. In order to build effective and sustainable “Linguistic and Cultural Heritage Documentation and Revitalization” movements, collaboration with communities is important, however, so far there has been limited accumulation of knowledge and tools. We therefore propose a forum for exchanging our experiences and thoughts about any aspect of working with communities.
We also welcome contributions regarding the general topic of “Linguistic and Cultural Heritage Documentation and Revitalization”, particularly in Asian contexts.
Post-Conference Field Trip
There will be a post-conference field trip to the Black Tai community in Petchaburi province.
