Abstract:
The relevance of the research is explained by the mass transition of higher education institutions to the distance education that is particularly challenging for teachers of Humanitarian disciplines. The purpose of the paper is to define the influence of the quarantine on the implementation of distance education technologies in the work of teachers of Humanitarian disciplines, revealing the level of their digital competence. The methods of the research are: survey, theoretical analysis. The results are generalisation of the experience of distance education, revealed level of the development of teachers’ digital competence, the identification of the impact of quarantine measures on using distance technologies. Conclusions: 1.The quarantine has influenced the work of teachers: new forms, digital tools. The difficulties for teachers: most of teachers have mastered distance technologies on purpose during the quarantine, there is an urgent need in organized learning. 2. It is revealed that the development of digital competence of teachers depends upon their age, work experience, self-awareness, other. 3. The leadership of the institutions got the recommendations on the organisation of further training. The basis for the training are problem-based, pragmatic approaches. The prospects for further research are the development of the concept of digital learning.
