Abstract:
In line with the EU's climate strategy, Finland is committed to a strong reduction in its CO2 emissions over the coming years. This creates a need for industry to develop low-emission processes and to improve the efficiency of existing technologies to achieve the objectives. This proposal describes the recovery and utilisation of heat energy from process water in an industrial process. The modelled and simulated example addresses two alternative scenarios for heat recovery. The benefits achieved will be considered both from the economic point of view and from the point of view of reducing emissions.
