Abstract:
Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is widely used by businesses, and consumers are becoming accustomed to the fact that they lost control of their own data. This talk describes how AI-based technologies could be used to empower consumers and their organizations. As a first example in this direction, we present CLAUDETTE, a project where we aimed at automating the reading and legal evaluation of terms of service and privacy policies of online platforms.
