Abstract:
The objective of this work is to validate a questionnaire using the a priori market segmentation technique for the development of a biodigester prototype based on green technology. The structure of the instrument will allow us to obtain information on the design characteristics of the biodigester according to the variables associated with market segmentation from the point of view of the consumer (head of household). To do this, a team of experts is created to propose and evaluate the attributes that the data collection instrument will measure. The sample was made up of 10 experts in the area of Renewable Energy and Energy Techniques of different nationalities. The contribution of the study is based on the understanding of the construct and the technical design characteristics of the prototype. This paper shows the procedure developed to estimate the validity of the content, construct and internal consistency of the instrument. The construction and validation process resulted in a questionnaire consisting of six segmentations aimed at collecting information on the future structure, production, consumption, perception and environmental information of the families of the marginal urban sectors of the city of Guayaquil. The results indicate that the experts' judgment is consistent in applying the questionnaire to households in the marginal urban sector and that the instrument is completely reliable to achieve the objectives of the current investigation.
