Abstract:
The main objective of the MURI, MURA, and MUDA (3MU) identification process based on Lean methodology (is a continuous improvement process that seeks to identify and eliminate waste to increase efficiency and productivity) is to recruit a workforce to address the challenges of waste elimination. The proposed methodology involves defining value, identifying waste, identifying the origins of waste, and prioritizing them to take necessary measures. The methodology was implemented for the XX alumina complex and specifically targeted the waste of tank leakage in the caustic Soda transferring and receiving unit. Three strategies were presented against the main origins, one of which was the Rapid improvement strategy, which aims to achieve rapid improvements with minimal expenditure and time. The implementation of this approach in the XX alumina complex showed that to achieve rapid improvements and address the origins of waste in the caustic soda tank; the complex must start by learning accurate risk analysis.
