Abstract:
The nuclear medicine created a point of view about the metabolic and functional anomalies, this was made through with fast and effective procedures who have low or hardly any side effects. Furthermore, nuclear medicine gives unreachable levels of details that cannot be obtained with other imaging techniques. Thus, it has become essential in the assessment process of these anomalies, including increasing the chances of cure by performing the early diagnosis of diseases such as cancer. In the nuclear medicine sector, gamma-camera outstanding by doing scintigraphy procedures and SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). Procedures who use a radiopharmaceutical, who It has metabolic affinity with the region to be examined, and through with a radioactive tracer, it is possible to verify the body distribution of anomalies. Knowing how this equipment is necessary in a large hospital, it was assessed in this research the benefit for making a gamma-camera substitution and a time mensuration of return on invested capital by using a cash inflow simulation. The methodology aims to evaluate how much cost the initial investment for equipment acquisitions, the infrastructure remodeling to adequation, operating costs, input costs and maintenance contract. The cash supply simulation was made with SUS perspective, applied to a private hospital. Lastly, the results show that by using the discounted Payback system of evaluating, the results show return of investment in 1 year. The substitution proved to be advantageous, in addition to the quick return, gains were obtained in the quantity and quality of exams performed.
