Abstract:
Legal visualization is treated as a methodological bridge from law to machine law. The role of visualization is described starting from the old customary law via legal science to the present machine law. An emphasis is put on the paradigm change of legal visualization in the digital age. In machine law, legal visualization is moving from periphery to the center. The products of visualizations such as schemes, technical drawings, and UML diagrams, are becoming part of the law, in paricular, to software engineers.
