Abstract:
Solving efficiently the large-size linearized systems of equations, that stem from the numerical modelling of multiphase flow by using the Mixed Hybrid Finite Element Method, is still a major computational challenge. In this work, a specifically designed preconditioning framework, founded on an original family of preconditioners, has been developed with the aim of improving the performance of Krylov subspace solvers, by reducing the total solution time and limiting the memory requirement.
