Initially designed to fill the shortage of respirators during the COVID-19 pandemic, VITA demonstrated other virtues and, based on tests, presented encouraging results regarding its use in other areas, the use for the treatment of other respiratory syndromes, including hospitals in low complexity, ambulances and veterinary use. The VITA system is designed to automate the operation of a manual resuscitator (AMBU) without depending on hospital gases, making a compressed air or oxygen line unnecessary. This work presents the improvement of the VITA respirator, a low-cost device for the treatment of respiratory problems, proposing the VITA Cloud version, a web platform designed for remote management of VITA and monitored patients.
