Abstract:
The use of Artificial Intelligence is growing and also the concern with ethical issues. One of them is related to decisions previously programmed and established by a human being, as the AI still has not been able to make decisions arising from its own cognition. The need to analyze this reality through an ethical perspective is critical importance, in particular regarding the legal implications, in view of being a scenario of near regulatory absence. The main problem is in relation to the moral dilemmas faced by ethical AI designers. Adopting any of the ethical currents has its good side and its bad side. The present work aims delimit the scope of the concepts of Artificial Intelligence, ethics and morals; analyze the utilitarian moral current and deontology, establishing the cause/effect relationship of its adoption; investigate concrete situations of decision-making by Artificial Intelligence and its consequences; analyze the possible legal implications of the ethical perspective in Artificial intelligence. The method adopted is the systemic one, proposed by Maturana and Varela. The development of the research leads to taking into account the need to define a theoretical-methodological context in order to to find the appropriate methods and techniques for analyzing the problem proposed.
