Abstract:
The objective of this study was to include a support approach, in order to help the public manager in decision-making, in projects related to the modernization and efficiency of the public lighting assets by LED technology combined with multicriteria method AHP and Bayesian Networks, through probabilistic analysis that most impact the sustainability aspects. The method consists of research with a hybrid approach, composed of qualitative and quantitative parts. The bibliometric review research, where the search was directed to the use of multicriteria methods related to public lighting, with the application of LED technology and quantitative research composed by developing a new methodological approach with the combination of the AHP method and the Bayesian Network. The research, obtained a satisfactory result since with the application of a hybrid solution and essential support from experts a result was reached that is capable, not only of assisting in the making of complex decisions but also to determine the decision to be made and contribute in the justifications. It is concluded that sustainable management in public lighting permeates the three pillars of sustainability. In the environmental aspect, results can be obtained by reducing natural resource consumption and CO2 emissions. In the economic aspect, there may be cost reduction in the medium and long term, with the implementation of a more efficient and intelligent lighting system in cities. For the social aspect, it is concluded that this sustainable management is a delivery of more quality service for the population to enjoy in a healthy way.
