Olena Lakomova, born in 1968, received a Candidate of Geographical Sciences degree (Dr. phil.) from the Tavriya National University named after V. Vernadsky, in 2014. by specialty 11.00.02 - "The economic and social geography". Since 1989 she has been working in the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, where she is currently lecturer. Her research interests include issues physical and social geography and tourism. She has published a number of papers in international journals and volumes in book series
