Alona Yurzhenko graduated from Kherson State University in 2012 and received a master's degree in "Humanities. Language and Literature (English) ". Since 2011 she has been working as an English teacher at the Maritime College of Kherson State Maritime Academy. In 2015, she was attached to the Department of Informatics, Software Engineering and Economic Cybernetics of Kherson State University (Theory and Methods of Professional Education). From 2019 to the present she has been working as the head of the Office of international cooperation, part-time - assistant of the department, teaches the discipline "English (for professional purposes)" for cadets of the 1st specialty course "Operation of ship power plants". Co-author of the textbook "Full Ahead". Participates in the work of all-Ukrainian and international conferences. Author of 35 publications: 2 of them are indexed in scientometric databases Scopus and Web of science. She has a copyright certificate. The work of Yurzhenko A., Voloshynov S. and Popova H. "Application of augmented and virtual reality technology in terms of QR code quest in the formation of foreign language competence of future seafarers" took first place in the All-Ukrainian competition for the use of their own mobile devices in the educational process (SDU order №0380-VI).
