Bio

Dr. Dimitri Masson is a computer scientist specializing in computer-assisted creativity, holding both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from INP Ensimag, and a Master's in Distributed Systems from Université Joseph Fourier. He completed his Ph.D. at Université de Grenoble Alpes.

Since 2015, Dr. Masson has been a faculty member at ESTIA School of Engineering, advancing to Assistant Professor in 2022. He led the Mathematics and Computer Science teaching unit and coordinated the Bali Chair on industrial circularity in fashion and textiles. His research intersects human-computer interaction, AI, and computational creativity, focusing on developing tools for design, innovation, and decision-making. He has contributed to the New Aquitaine University Space Center (NAASC), working on the region’s first nanosatellite and mission control systems.

Dr. Masson collaborates with the FlexTech Chair on the PRODEC methodology and has co-supervised Ph.D. research on situational awareness in digital twins and context integration in scenario-based design. He has played a key role in the academic community, co-chairing sessions at HSI2020, HSI2021, and the upcoming HSI2024 conference. He is also a member of INCOSE’s Technical Leadership Institute (Cohort 8).
