The objective of this article is to identify the main aspects of human talent management that are strategic for the educational sector. A systematic mapping is carried out where the administrative theories, the evolution of human talent, profitability and organizational competitive advantages were identified. It is concluded that the best leadership is one that identifies capacities to project ideas that inspire better organizational models, as well as to the extent that there is greater motivation, better articulation, profitability and added value are achieved.
