Teacher Training Deficiencies in the Use of Technological Tools

Abstract

The use of technology in education has become one of the effective possibilities to improve the quality of education that Dominican students receive, this is due to the variety of resources offered which are of interest to students. Therefore, it is pertinent to have a teaching staff with the ability to direct teaching through computer resources efficiently and effectively.

The present work establishes as the main research objective to determine the deficiencies of teacher training in the use of technological tools. It indicates the reasons why it is considered necessary to investigate and undertake an exhaustive investigation in this regard in order to have a teaching staff duly empowered and adapted to the demands of a new way of guiding students in the process of teaching from a distance so that they are capable to self-manage their learning.
