Dance and its incidence for the development of laterality in children 4-6 years old

Abstract

This article is made with the aim of demonstrating the incidence of dance in the development of laterality in children from 4 to 6 years old. For which a virtual course called "Churay Kids" was carried out, consisting of a conceptualization of the various elements, the interactive dimension of children, through the performance of movements that involve segmented dance steps, which they develop his corporal, gestural, lateral expression and coordination. The applied methodology is based on a qualitative, descriptive approach, in which observation forms and sheets were used. After the application of the data collection instruments, the respective analysis was carried out, concluding that effectively dance as a pedagogical strategy that integrates playful, dynamic and fun activities, is favorable within the learning process of children and their maturational development in the lateral area.
