Lontar Writing Training for Class 5 Students in Sd N 5 Selat, Kecamatan Sukasada, Buleleng District

Abstract

Lontar is a tool for documenting an event or a literary work. The emergence of old traditions in modern times, like now, has indeed given a new impression to the younger generation. The training for grade 5 students at SD N 5 Selat in lontar writing was welcomed by the school. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this training. The palm leaf with the name of the student written on it will be packaged into a simple key chain. The results of the training are quite good in terms of the form of letters, grammar, and the rules for pairs of Balinese script. Seeing the students 'ability in pairs of Balinese script is quite good, this is the main asset for developing students' creativity in lontar writing. This is where the role of a teacher is to educate students and facilitate creativity in literature. This training provides a new experience and is very beneficial for the development of students' skills in Balinese script.
