The Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Los Angeles is pleased to invite abstracts for submission to the 36th West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics to be held April 20-22, 2018.
Abstracts are invited for 20 minute talks and posters on all aspects of theoretical linguistics, including findings from language acquisition, psycholinguistic, and neurolinguistic research with formal implications. We especially invite abstracts related to our two special sessions: “tone” and “understanding islands” detailed below.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Abstracts for both full papers and talks are not to exceed two pages of letter-sized (8.5″x 11″) paper, including data and references, with 1″ margins on all sides, set in a font no smaller than 11 points. The abstract should have a clear title, but should not identify the author(s). The abstract must be submitted electronically in PDF format, using the EasyChair submission system at the link below. You will see fields for your title and abstract as well as an upload button. Please enter the title in the appropriate box, and a one or two sentence summary in the Abstract text field. This, along with the keywords, will be used to help assign reviewers. If you would like your abstract to be considered for either of the special sessions please indicate this in your submission.
