About UASG-2019
The 1st International Conference on Unmanned Aerial System in Geomatics (UASG-2019) will be held in Greater Noida Extension Centre, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, on April 06-07, 2019. Using small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) as data acquisition platforms and autonomous or semi-autonomous measurement instruments has become attractive for many emerging applications. The aim of UASG 2019 is to bring together experts in photogrammetry and remote sensing, surveying, robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, geosciences and various UAS user communities. UASG 2019 is a great opportunity to learn about the most recent developments and to exchange views on the future directions of UAS in geomatics research, applications and services.
Researchers, developers, service and systems providers as well as users are invited to contribute with presentations, posters and discussions to create synergies between research and applications using UAS in Geomatics.
Objectives of UASG
- To provide a platform for the researchers to present their work in front of the scientific community and experts.
- Providing the insights of innovative approaches, new findings, state-of-the-art techniques and novel methodologies, which researchers are adopting in the UAV sector.
- To offer a stage to meet and connect with various novel researchers, experts, stakeholders, patrons and colleagues of the same fields of research for an exchange of ideas and future collaborations.
- To connect academia, scientist and researchers with corporates and companies working in the area of UAV technologies and applications.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The UASG 2019 Conference will accept only electronic submission of the paper(s) in PDF format. Paper Specifications:
- Paper Size: Only US Letter (8.5" x 11") or A4 (210mm x 297mm) formats are allowed.
- Paper Format: Authors should prepare the manuscript according to the conference paper template style.
- File Size: The size of the PDF files submitted should not exceed 5.0 MB.
Themes
UASG 2019 has been organized on following four themes:
- UAV Start-Ups and Indian Market: The commercial-drone industry is still young in India but has begun to see some consolidation and major investments from both the large industrial giants and college startups. Many of the notable early commercial UAV startups are emerging in India. ‘UAV Startups and Indian Market’ is an Open, Inclusive & Collaborative platform for early stage startups spread across different cities in India. The platform enables the discovery of cofounders, investors and customers. Be a part of this invaluable session of brilliant individuals.
- UAV Concepts and Innovations: As UAV technology continues to evolve, researchers from different universities presenting new concepts for improving endure, stability and sensing services simultaneously industries around the world are implementing new and innovative systems to dramatically improve their business, increase efficiency and foster an ever-safer work environment. UAV Concepts and Innovations provide qualified attendees the opportunity to meet and learn from industry leader and veterans both in the academia and business and charged with the recent concepts and state of art innovations in UAV technology.
- UAV Regulations and Requirements: Drones have gone from niche geek gadget to High Street mainstay over the last couple of years but, as they’ve grown more popular, we’ve also seen year-on-year increases in potentially dangerous incidents involving them. To ensure the safety of both drone users and the general public, drone laws started evolving. While some countries have clear, established UAV laws, many others do not. ‘UAV Regulations and Requirements’ is an Open, Inclusive & Collaborative platform for policy makers, practitioners, enforcement agencies and UAV users. The platform will on the one hand let the policymakers to understand the viewpoints of the UAV users as well as helps in removing the insane delusions in current practices. Be a part of this invaluable session of brilliant individuals.
- UAV Application and Practices: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has been immensely used for the real-time assessment large-scale monitoring, mapping and in different applications such as agriculture, road transport, railways, forest cover assessment, landslide monitoring, ecological changes, and defense surveillance etc. Increasing the widespread application of the UAVs in various sectors should be the present priority.
