Oslo and Akershus University College (HiOA) in collaboration with University College of South-East Norway (USN), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Norwegian Society of Automatic Control (NFA) is proud to arrange the 59th Conference on Simulation and Modeling (SIMS2018) in Oslo, Norway.
The SIMS2018 conference will cover broad aspects of simulation, modeling and optimization in engineering, especially in energy applications. The scientific program will include technical sessions with submitted and invited papers, and might be open for poster sessions and vendor demonstrations. Especially Ph.D. students are encouraged to contribute with papers according to the conference themes.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The submission procedure has two stages, first the authors submit an extended abstract by 15.1.2018. If the technical committee accept the abstract (notification 26.2.2018), the authors will be invited to submit a full paper by 16.4.2018. The technical commitee reviews the full papers (two reviewers per paper, notification 25.5.2018). The authors revise their papers according to the comments by the technical committee by 18.6.2018.
Extended abstracts
- The abstract should be structured into the following sections:
- Title which clearly indicates the research topics.
- Authors, names institute, country and email address. The first/presenting author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have agreed to be co-authors.
- Key words (3-5)
- Background, Aims, Materials and methods, (Results, Conclusions).
- Figures and tables are allowed.
- Maximum length of the abstract is 5000 characters, about 700 words or approximately one A4 page.
Full articles
- Your paper needs to be re-produced by using new templates LaTeX or DOC: http://www.scansims.org/media-files/conference-templates-master.zip
- The article length should be 6 pages, the maximum is 8 pages.
List of Topics
- Modeling and simulation for design, planning, optimization, control, monitoring and diagnostics
