Title of The Book:
SMART METERING: INFRASTRUCTURE, METHODOLOGIES, APPLICATIONS AND CHALLENGES
SCOPE OF THE WORK:
The main aim of this book is to provide all the information on smart meter starting from background, structure, and architectural requirement for application in smart grid, to application in different sectors, data handling challenges, technologies used to mitigate this, and future application, to the audience/readers so that basic concept will be clear. Further it provides new scopes to the researchers to work in this area.
The advanced architecture to establish the smart meter concept in smart grid and data utilization techniques to enhance the operation, control, monitoring and protection of future smart grid using smart meters will be discussed.
It includes advanced architecture, design of smart meters, smart meter data analytics, forecasting, demand side management, bad data detection, fault detection, energy theft, outage management, big data and intelligent methodologies. It excludes public safety, grid asset planning and management.
Topics:
Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Smart grid architecture
- Advanced metering infrastructure
- Energy theft
- Outage management
- Demand side management
- Load forecasting
- Load shedding using smart meters
- Load profiling
