Call for Papers
The First Workshop on Big Scientific Data Benchmarks, Architecture, and Systems(SDBA’18)
Co-located with International Conference on Supercomputing(ICS)
June 12, 2018: Beijing, China
The workshop seeks papers that address hot topic issues in benchmarking, designing, implementing and optimizing big scientific data architecture and systems. Specific topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Big scientific data workload characterization and benchmarking
- Performance analysis of scientific data systems
- Workload-optimized big scientific data systems
- Big scientific data visualization
- Innovative prototypes of big scientific data infrastructures
- Hardware and software co-design for big scientific data systems
- Practice reports of evaluating and optimizing large-scale big scientific data systems
- Practical cases in various fields of scientific data collection, management, processing, analytics and visualization
Papers should present original research. As big data spans many disciplines, papers should provide sufficient background material to make them accessible to the broader community.
Paper Submissions
Papers will be processed with two-round reviews, and the proceeding will be published by Springer LNCS (EI Indexed). First-round submission should be no more than 4 pages in standard two-column IEEE conference format not including references. The second-round submissions should be around 8-12 pages. Submissions should be PDF files following the submission guidelines that will be made available at the submission website. The submissions will be judged based on the merit of the ideas rather than the length.
Submission site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sdba1
Best paper award will be announced at the end of the workshop!
