The goal of the NUMTA2019 Conference is to create a multidisciplinary round table for an open discussion on numerical modeling nature by using traditional and emerging computational paradigms. The Conference (including also special streams and sessions) will discuss all aspects of numerical computations and modeling from foundations and philosophy to advanced numerical techniques. New technological challenges and fundamental ideas from theoretical computer science, linguistic, logic, set theory, and philosophy will meet requirements and new fresh applications from physics, chemistry, biology, and economy.
The NUMTA2019 Conference is organized by the University of Calabria, Department of Computer Engineering, Modelling, Electronics and Systems Science, Italy, in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), USA, and will be held in the All Inclusive TH Le Castella Village resort, Ionian coast, Calabria, Italy, close to Crotone – the city of Pythagoras.
Researchers from both theoretical and applied sciences are very welcome to submit their papers and to use this excellent possibility to exchange ideas with leading scientists from different research fields. Papers discussing new computational paradigms, relations with foundations of mathematics, and their impact on natural sciences are particularly solicited. A special attention will be also dedicated to numerical optimization and different issues related to theory and practice of the usage of infinities and infinitesimals in numerical computations. The NUMTA2019 Young Researcher Prize will be awarded during the Conference to the best presentation made by a young scientist.
Together with regular presentations at the Conference there will be the Summer School offering tutorials and discussion sections covering the topics of the Conference. Participants at the Summer School can submit either regular papers or participate at the poster session that will be also organized. English is the working language both at the Conference and the Summer School.
Submission Guidelines
- ONE-PAGE ABSTRACTS
Submission of the late one page abstracts: May 15, 2019 (Closed now)
One-page abstract had to be submitted before May 15, 2019 through the EasyChair system.
Decision on the acceptance was taken by the NUMTA2019 Programming Committee and notified to the authors by e-mail.
For each accepted abstract, at least one registration fee should be paid (one presentation – one fee).
- FULL PAPERS FOR THE NUMTA2019 LNCS PROCEEDINGS
Submission of papers for LNCS proceedings: May 30, 2019 June 3, 2019
After acceptance of one-page abstracts, the authors can submit their papers for the LNCS Conference Proceedings by Springer.
All papers must be original, not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference and will be regularly peer-reviewed. Short papers (6-8 pages in the LNCS format) and Full papers (12-15 pages in the LNCS format) are welcome. To be included in the LNCS Conference Proceedings, the authors should pay the registration fee and participate at the Conference. For each paper, at least one registration fee should be paid (one paper – one fee).
