Neural Coding 2023 is organized by the Instituto de Ciencias Biológicas "Clemente Estable", 27 February - 4 March, 2023.
This meeting spans the range of computational and theoretical neuroscience, in addition to experimental neuroscience informed by functional, theoretical, and computational considerations. It will be a single track multi-disciplinary event bringing together interdisciplinary researchers and creating a venue for conversation and sparking collaborations. Attendees of the workshop should thus be prepared to cross the borders of their own disciplines. This year we are back in person at the sunny seaside of Piriápolis, Uruguay!
Over the period of four days, you can expect a mix of oral presentations and poster sessions. There will be ample scheduled events for conversation.
Registration details and other information are provided at the main workshop website, http://neuralcoding.net.
The following is a brief list of some topics from previous years, but these are meant as examples, not an exhaustive representation:
- Brain-Computer Interfaces
- Coupled Oscillators
- Information Theory
- Network Architecture
- Network Dynamics
- Probabilistic Models
- Sensory Systems
- Spike Train Analysis
In the tradition of previous workshops in Prague (1995), Versailles (1997), Osaka (1999), Plymouth (2001), Aulla (2003), Marburg (2005), Montevideo (2007), Tainan (2009), Limassol (2010), Prague (2012), Versailles (2014), Cologne (2016), Torino (2018), and Seattle (2021, online), this will be a single track multi-disciplinary event bringing together experimental and computational neuroscientists. Attendees of the workshop should thus be prepared to cross the borders of their own disciplines.
Submission Guidelines
Neural Coding 2023 proceedings will be assembled from submitted abstracts and distributed electronically to all conference attendees.
Presenters may submit no more than one abstract of up to 2 pages. The conference website (http://neuralcoding.net/nc2023/abstracts.html) includes templates for LaTeX and Microsoft Word, plus a link to the abstract upload site. A book of abstracts will be distributed electronically to participants. Full papers will be refereed and may published as a Special Issue (journal details will be available later). Submission of a paper for the proceedings is not a prerequisite for participation in the Workshop.
