The International Workshop on Cyber-Physical Systems and Applications (IWCPSA18) strives to provide a forum for discussion of new ideas and presentation of innovative design elements and examples of implementation. We seek high-quality, novel submissions in the broad area of Cyber-Physical Systems and their applications.
Submission Guidelines
Paper submission will be through EasyChair submission system.
Papers submitted to IWCPSA must be original work and may not be simultaneously submitted to another academic event.
We expect high-quality manuscripts, written in English, conforming to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Format (US Letter size, two-column: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html), between 4-6 pages. Two extra pages can be purchased at additional cost.
Accepted papers must be presented by at least one author, who registers to and attends IEEE TrustCom 2018.

List of Topics
A Cyber-Physical System (CPS) can be defined as a generic mechanism that is (i) controlled by computer algorithms, and (ii) interacts with common communication tools such as the Internet. Next generation CPS instances will also encompass Internet-of-Things elements, as well as smart agents that utilize computational intelligence based on big data sets. CPS is commonly utilized as one of modern interdisciplinary approaches in use of technology, and believed to merge theories of mechatronics and cybernetics.
Topics of interest include the following:
- General design topics on CPS
- CPS Principles
- Framework issues and related discussion
- Internet-of-Things
- IoT-enabled Smart Cities
- Next generation superclusters of computers
- Industrial control systems
- Cloud Computing
- Applications of Sensors and Actuators in CPS
- Applications of Cybersecurity in CPS
- Security and resilience of CPS
- Applications of Big Data in CPS
- CPS in medical informatics
- Application of blockchain technologies for CPS
- Industrial Internet
- NIST CPS Framework Design issues
- NIST Cloud Federations Design issues
- Data Interoperability in CPS
- Virtual-Organizations in CPS
- Future of CPS
