We are pleased to invite abstracts for submission to the 2nd International Symposium on Bilingual and L2 Processing in Adults and Children (ISBPACTU), which will take place in Braunschweig (Germany) from Thursday, 24th May 2018 to Friday, 25th May 2018.
Submission Guidelines
Abstracts may not be longer than two pages in length. The first page is intended for the abstract (300 words max) and the title (in bold). The second page is reserved for relevant graphs, tables, figures and references. Abstracts must be in English and should be formatted as follows:
- Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format
- A4 page
- 1.5 line spacing
- Times New Roman, 12-point font
- 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins
- Leave 4 blank lines between the title of the abstract (in bold) and the first line of the text.
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Oral presentations will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.
- Posters will be in A0 portrait format.
Please specify whether you wish your submission to be considered for oral presentation, a poster, or for both categories.
List of Topics
We encourage you to submit abstracts that address topics in bilingual child, adult, and heritage speaker grammatical processing, including but not limited to:
- lexical, morphological and syntactic processing;
- crosslinguistic influence in bilingual speech production and comprehension;
- code-switching;
- cognitive consequences of multilingualism;
- language processing in attrition;
- implications of multilingual language processing for teaching.
