Authors are requested to choose one of the publication tracks (journal) listed in the following table, in which they wish their submission to be considered. Please note that the papers submission in one track will not be considered in another track except for the poster track in which all journal submissions will be automatically transferred if found suitable. The submission and review process is given in a nutshell in the table at the end of this page.
Journal wise submission details are provided below.
BMC journals:
Expected start date for BMC submissions is: March 10, 2018. Sumbissions for BMC must be made to BMC editotial system and NOT to the easy chair.
All manuscripts for BMC Genomics, BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Systems Biology and BMC Medical Genomics must be submitted directly through the BMC supplement issue editorial management system. Manuscripts not complying to formatting, submissions and supplementary data guidelines of the four BMC journal will be returned to authors without peer review. The peer review will be handled through the BMC EM system. The article publications charges for accepted manuscripts will be directly invoiced and collected by BMC.
Gigascience:
Gigascience is an Oxford University Press journal and adopts an open review policy. Papers for this journal will be submitted to Biorxiv.org. The IncoB PC will then connect these papers to preprint.space archives and an open review will be carried out. Publication charges depend on type of article and can be found out on the journal website.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for Gigascience will be invited to register for InCoB2018 and present their work there. However, please be informed that some of the papers recommended for Gigascience may be rejected by the journal in the second stage of the review, even if they are given an opportunity to present at InCoB.
To submit your paper for consideration to Gigascience, please submit it to www.biorxiv.org/. After you biorxiv submission is successful, please submit a cover letter stating your Biorxiv Manuscript ID and link to your Biorxiv submission paper to easychair. The link for easychair submission of all papers in InCoB2018 is https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=incob18.
PeerJ:
Papers for this journal will be submitted to Biorxiv.org. The IncoB PC will then connect these papers to preprint.space archives and an open review will be carried out. Publication charges for PeerJ are nominal and can be found out on the journal website.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for PeerJ will be invited to register for InCoB2018 and present their work there. However, please be informed that some of the papers recommended for PeerJ may be rejected by the journal in the second stage of the review, even if they are given an opportunity to present at InCoB.

Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for JBCB will be invited to register for InCoB2018 and present their work there.
Papers accepted for JBCB will be published as a special issue of the journal. This issue is currently planned to be published in October 2018.
The workflow for JBCB publication of InCoB proceedings papers is as follows:
- Paper submitted within the incob announced deadlines to Biorxiv.org.
- A cover letter mentioning submitted manuscript and journal choice to be sent to easychair via: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=incob18.
- The initial recommended set ofmanuscripts (along with conference PC or other reviewer comments and author responses) reach JBCB by late in early July.
- JBCB assigned editor makes quick accept/reject/revise decision by late July. At this stage, authors will be invited to present their work as Oral presentation or poster based on PC review. Additional information for JBCB submissions:
- Each paper, submitted to JBCB should have a length of 8-15 pages.
- The JBCB publisher will impose a page charge for papers exceeding length limit
Submission to Computational Biology and Chemistry:

Papers for this journal will be submitted to and reviewed through easychair. There are No publication charges for CBAC.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for CBAC will be invited to register for InCoB2018 and present their work there. Even though CBAC will not review the papers again but the technical check such as plagiarism tests may be carried out and a paper may not be finally published in CBAC for this reason. Also, the papers in CBAC will be published as an InCoB2018-specific section in a regular issue instead of having a full issue dedicated to the conference.
To submit a paper to CBAC, please prepare your manuscript in a PDF format and upload it to https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=incob18. Please also include a cover letter mentioning that the paper is to be considered for CBAC.
Bioinformatics:
