The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve lives and prospects across the globe. The 17 Goals were adopted by India to implement and achieve the agenda of SDGs by 2030. In September 2019, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the Decade of Action to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to accelerate efforts to deliver the ambitious, universal and inclusive 2030 Agenda. The Decade of Action for the SDGs requires research, innovation, technology, and resources and their successful execution. There is a need to generate an unstoppable movement for the required transformations by mobilising youth, civil society, the media, the private sector, unions, academia and other stakeholders. Significant progress has been observed in the implementation. However, more support is expected from the industry and academia for the achievement of these goals. Therefore, Lovely Professional University is organizing a Global Summit on SDGs to define the role of academia and industry in the successful implementation and achievement of SDGs by 2030.

Objectives:

• To create awareness among the society of SDGs
• To define the role of an individual in the successful implementation of SDGs
• To develop a framework for the achievement of the SDG goals.
• To connect industry, academia, and governance with the SDGs.
• To discuss and understand the impact of education on the achievement of SDG goals.
• To explain the role of research, innovation and collaboration in the implementation and achievement of SDG goals.

Submission Guidelines
