Ever since man appeared on this planet, disasters became part of our life. We had been facing these with different intensities at one place or another in the world. Civilization and development of industrialization, the manmade disasters are increasing not only killing the human life, it is also responsible for alteration of local eco-system. The advent of modern technologies has paved the way to predict these much ahead, but a few are still unpredictable. Year after year, the loss of life and property is increasing amidst modern preventable technologies. This would be the greatest challenge to the scientists who are working in the field of Disaster Management. India is not an exception for the disasters and therefore, establishes a workable model for cyclones, landslides, avalanches and earthquakes. Recently, entire world is facing Covid-19 pandemic, India being second country recording more number of cases. The technology driven mock drills shall be conducted regularly in the vulnerable areas in order to motivate and to provide capacity building. Remote Sensing technology is one of the best tools to monitor real time data with which accurate assessment is possible and data can be disseminate for further understanding of the event and to take up different management activities as well. In view of these issues, a two-day International Conference is being conducted to invite scholars, academicians, administrators, students and NGOs to focus on various current issues with a view to mitigate without much loss of life and property.
