ICOME 2019 aims to bring together international researchers, industrial professionals, and students from the broad range of disciplines related to Mechanical Engineering and Sciences. ICOME 2019 offers an intimate, collegial, and stimulating environment to discuss and to exchange the most recent scientific results. The conference is organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia.
Following previous successful conferences in Lombok , Bali and Surabaya, the 4th ICOME 2019 will be held on August 28-29, 2019 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The 4th ICOME 2019 definitely will become one of the most academically rich, socially entertaining, and culturally enjoyable conferences. On behalf of the conference organizers it is our great pleasure to invite all mechanical researchers and other related experts, to attend and contribute to ICOME 2019.
The conference provides oral presentation allowing presenters to most comfortably convey their achievements. The presented papers are published in indexed and prestigious journals, in which the authors may select conveniently. Four keynote speeches related to the conference theme will make the academic program of ICOME even more in-depth and interesting for participants, who intend to further their understanding. Furthermore, several awards categories will be delivered to the potential authors during Gala Dinner, for example best paper award, best student paper award, etc.

Invited Speakers
-
Keynote Speaker 1 (confirmed)
Nuria Espallargas
Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, NTNU Norway
Website: https://www.ntnu.edu/employees/nuria.espallargasNuria Espallargas (1979) is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. She has a MSc in Chemistry from University of Barcelona (Spain) and a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the same university. She is also the NTNU leader of the Gemini Centre “Tribology” since 2011.
Her main motivation in research is about to perform basic research to understand degradation phenomena that starts on metal surfaces exposed to aggressive chemical environment. Under these conditions metals are typically covered by oxides, which greatly affect wear and friction. The focus is to understand the degradation phenomena of materials exposed to chemo-mechanical effects.
Surface engineering is the key to add functionality to surfaces and therefore finding new solutions to materials problems by controlling their surface chemistry is the ultimate goal of my research. In addition, understanding the mechanisms at the nano, micro and macro scale is crucial to solve materials degradation therefore the other goal of my research is to perform testing across scales to design and optimise surface solutions.
