The aim of the ICICS'22 is to bring researchers from multiple disciplines together to present their work on the new Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that thrown the world's ecosystem into disarray. The COVID-19 epidemic has sparked a global health crisis that has forced practically every major country to implementcomplete or partial lockdown on their respective territory. In such a setting, "social isolation" that elicits aversive emotions appears to bethe only way to stay alive. About ICIDR
We are inspired bylove for study and information exchange at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Research Foundation (ICIDR). ICIDR is a Non-Profit Organizationthataims to bring together international network and audience that strives towards interdisciplinary research. Research that is conducted with the aim “science for society” require collaboration between academics from various fields, public policy makers, steakholders, mass media, and other relevant partners. However, research that goes out of traditional academic bounds is more difficult to fund, conduct, evaluate, and publish, and those who undertake itstruggle for recognition and promotion. That is why the ICIDR exists! Weconsider that interdisciplinary research is fundamental to investigate and deal with current societal challenges, therefore we seek to bring together academics from various fields to collaborate and network, thereby facilitating interdisciplinary research.
About CoviZion
The interdisciplinary research program CoviZion “Storytelling of a Virus: Representations, Images and Imaginations. Represent and Understand in Order to Act Better and Live with it” is funded by AMI FLASH Research and Innovations COVID of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France.CoviZionis based on innovative collaboration between hard and soft sciences that aims to construct a holistic view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The SARS-CoV-2 virus that is responsible for the Coronavirus disease is studied by hard sciences researchers by innovative methods from the field of virology, physics, computational sciences and nanometric solutions of microscopy that allow for imaging the biological representations. Further, mixed methods research design aims to investigate specificities of laypeople’s subjective representations of SARS-CoV-2 virusand related cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural reactions during the COVID-19 pandemic that irrevocably contributes to an improved multi-level crisis management of COVID-19 pandemic and other future pandemic breakdowns.
