About the Conference
The ICCCBE and the CIB W78's are the two most important truly international conference series on the theme of IT/Computing in Civil Engineering/Construction, which can be held all around the world.
In 2020, these two conferences will be jointly held in Brazil, organized by the University of São Paulo and co-organized by the Federal University of Paraná.
The conference will be hosted at the main campus of the University of São Paulo. USP is among the 300 best universities in the world and ranks #1 in Brazil. São Paulo is a vibrant city, home for 12 million people and known for its gastronomy and night life. It is also a hub to many other touristic destinations in Brazil, like Rio de Janeiro, Foz do Iguaçu, Pantanal, Amazon, Fortaleza, Salvador, Brasília, etc.
The Joint Conference ICCCBE and CIB W78 2020
The International Society for Computing in Civil and Building Engineering (ISCCBE) is the leading forum in the area of information technology in civil engineering. ICCCBE is organized by the ISCCBE and is run bi-annually. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for the professionals and researchers who are interested in computing in a wide range of civil and building engineering disciplines to come together. It is an event for learning, sharing and exchanging knowledge about the latest developments and research advances in this fast-paced field. It is the first time ICCCBE will be hosted in Latin America.
CIB (International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction) was established in 1953 as an association whose objectives were to stimulate and facilitate international cooperation and information exchange between governmental research institutes in the building and construction sector, with an emphasis on those institutes engaged in technical fields of research. CIB W78 – Information Technology for Construction – is one of the largest and most active working commissions of CIB. The scope of W78’s work is broad in terms of the design, construction and occupancy of constructed facilities, but primarily it relates to the integration and communication of data, information and knowledge in the facility’s life cycle. Its conferences have 35 years of tradition and are run annually. It will be held in Brazil for the first time.
Venue
The joint conference venue is the International Diffusion Center of the University of São Paulo (USP) which in located at USP main campus in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Conference runs from 2 to 4 June, 2020.
