Submission Guidelines
Authors should submit a paper in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, addressing one or several of the symposium topics. Each paper should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific contribution, and the problems, domains or environments to it is applicable. For the double-blind review process, authors should be careful with the paper submission version, without any reference to the authors, project funds, acknowledgments section, and any other reference that permit to identify the authorship.
Authors are advised to submit original papers. Please consider the ethical norms regarding any kind of plagiarism. Make sure that submissions do not substantially overlap works which have been published or submitted to a journal or conference proceedings. Papers with any kind of plagiarism will be rejected without reviews.
Submitted papers must be related to research work that is completed and validated. Exceptionally, valuable work in progress may also be accepted.
The Papers must be formatted according to IEEE Template Sponsored Conferences and Symposia and should be no longer than 8 (eight) pages, including all additional materials. Regular Papers are awarded 20 minutes for oral presentation, including time for questions and discussion.
All papers must be submitted in PDF format through the online submission platform Easy Chair. After the submission has been completed, the authors will receive a confirmation e-mail.
The papers will be revised by at least two reviewers and evaluated considering the relevance, originality, technical quality, significance, and presentation of the work. After the reviewing process, the authors will receive a notification by email with the reviewers' feedback. Furthermore, the reviewers' recommendations must be addressed by the authors before the camera-ready submission.
All inquiries and correspondence must be addressed to DSIE19 Editorial Assistant through dsie2019@fe.up.pt.
