The 2019 Workshop on Data Analytics and User Behavior
co-located with IEEE IRI 2019
July 30 - August 1, 2019
Los Angeles, California, USA
Workshop Description
Recent advances in monitoring system use and data analytics provide opportunities for newer approaches that can enable tracking and analyzing actual user behavior. The availability of a large volume of data from various kinds of monitoring devices (such as smartwatch, smartphones, surveillance cameras, smarthome sensors, smart vehicles, medical devices, IoT devices, and e-commerce servers) enables data analytics to model user behavior, which can be used to boost multiple application domains such as e-health, smart cities, etc. Data science and intelligent advanced analytics are necessary to correlate, learn, mine, interpret and visualize such data.
This workshop provides a forum for professionals, researchers, and data scientists to share opinions, exchange ideas, and integrate relevant, essential academic user behavior research activity with the broader international community. We seek theory and emerging applications in the use of data analytics for understanding user behavior in information systems.
Topics of Interest include but are not limited to the following:
Anomaly detection using log data
Brain imaging (e.g., EEG) based user behavior analysis
Post adoption of usage behavior
Mobile and IoT sensing and analytics
Analysis and evaluation of large data repositories
Dark side of IT use and acceptance
Big data analytics
Statistics and machine learning
Data mining
Analysis of wearable digital device data
Analysis of mobile device data (e.g., health monitoring device)
Data analytics for behavioral health
Social Media Surveillance
Social Media Data Analytics
Time-critical analysis
User experience design
Privacy and security issues in data analytics
