The Cloud Security Alliance invites you to an open Call for Papers (CFP) for the CSA EMEA Congress, a virtual event that will take place in early November of this year. The event will focus on eight core topics that are essential to the cloud ecosystem, providing both educational and practical advice across cloud leadership.
The Call for Papers is open and receiving submissions for CSA EMEA Congress June 11 - August 31, 2020.
Submission Guidelines
Proposals and presentations must be in English. Being a CSA member is not a requirement to speak. Proposals must be non‐sales and non‐marketing oriented. No fees are required to submit a proposal. CSA does not pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses.
The high quality of the education program offers cutting-edge, relevant topics on preventing, mitigating, and managing the complex and emerging issues facing today's cyber security practitioners. Session proposals must offer strong content and actionable takeaways to ensure that seasoned cyber security professionals, as well as industry leaders, will benefit.
Commercially focused/vendor promotional proposals will not be considered.
List of Topics
All security and privacy-related topics and ideas are welcome. Intermediate and advanced level content are particularly welcome by our attendees, as are case studies and technology demonstrations. The following list are recommended submission topics:
- Zero Trust
- The growing complexity of cloud certification
- Continuous assurance and compliance
- IoT and the Cloud: Friend or Foe
- Quantum Computing: Should we care? Will it ever happen?
- The European Cloud and the GDPR
- The knowledge gap
- Dev Ops, Containers: separate the hype from the practical

Speaker Information
It's important to enter a speaker's credentials/certifications biographical and contact information. The professional biography is limited to 150 words.
Session Lengths
All keynote sessions will run 30 minutes. Panel sessions will run 45 minutes.
Session Formats
Consider something other than a straight lecture format. Case studies, panels, interactive formats, etc. are all favored with the final selection committee.
Selection criteria:
- Applicability of content to the audience
- Balance of content in our overall program
- Technical depth, with a preference for unique, innovative, thought leadership and research driven material
- Sessions that include case studies, co-presentations, audience engagement are all preferred
Selection Process:
Submissions are accepted until midnight of the deadline at which time submissions will be assigned to the content review committee for assessment. The content review committee is comprised of security and cloud veterans with no financial interest in the event or bias towards submissions or submitters. Content is judged purely on its merits. Committee members are experts in a wide variety of security solution areas and make recommendations based on sessions they themselves would like to see and think attendees will find most valuable. The focus is on approving content that is of the utmost quality and value to our attendees.
Speaker Timeline:
- Call for papers opens - June 11
- Call for papers closes - August 31
- Final speakers notifications - September 14
- Presentation draft - September 30
- Final presentation due - October 12
