CompleNet Live is an online conference on complex networks that brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines—from sociology, biology, physics, and computer science—who share a passion to better understand the interdependencies within and across systems. CompleNet is a venue to discuss ideas and findings about all types of networks, from biological, to technological, to informational and social. It is this interdisciplinary nature of complex networks that CompleNet aims to explore and celebrate.
Important dates
- Online conference: 24-26 May 2021
- Submission deadline:
26 March11 April 2021 (extended deadline) - Notification of acceptance: 23 April 2021
Submission Guidelines
CompleNet accepts new contributions in the form of papers (not previously published) and extended abstracts (about to be published or unpublished research). Each submission will undergo blind review by at least two referees on the Scientific Committee. Full papers will be peer-reviewed and, if accepted, included in the Proceedings of the conference edited by Springer Verlag.
All accepted contributions will be invited to be presented at the online conference.
After the conference, selected works may have the opportunity to submit their papers to many special issues at the Applied Network Science Journal (Springer), Complexity Journal (Hindawi), PLoS One, Complex Networks (Oxford), and others.
- Full papers: Submitted papers should follow the Springer format (https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/editor-guidelines-for-springer-proceedings) and not exceed 12 pages. Page limits include all references, figures, tables, captions, and other display items. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings in Springer’s Complexity series. Authors can use either the LateX or Word template to generate a PDF for the submission. After acceptance, however, authors will be asked for LaTeX source (not Word) for inclusion in the proceedings.
- Extended abstracts: Extended abstracts should be a minimum of one page and a maximum of two pages in length (standard US Letter or DIN-A4, 1-inch margins, 10-point font, single-spaced), and should be submitted in PDF format. Each abstract should include exactly one figure, with caption. Please note that this figure, as well as any references, are included within the two-page limit.
