The 2nd International Workshop on Blockchain Technologies (BT'18) aims to bring together researchers, practitioners and solution developers from diverse disciplines, especially those focused on blockchain technologies. Its main purpose is to promote discussions of research and relevant activities in various aspects of blockchain technologies. The workshop seeks novel contributions on algorithm and system design, implementation, evaluations and standards. Research topics covered will include, but not be restricted to the following:
*Scalability and scalable services for blockchain systems
*Anonymity, deanonymization and privacy in blockchain systems
*Provenance and trust in blockchain systems
*Measurement and simulation studies of blockchain systems
*Trust models and trust management in blockchain systems
*New forms of blockchains and consensus mechanisms and their impact upon trust
*Cyber-infrastructures for blockchain systems
*Digital preservation of blockchain records for long-term authenticity
*Software quality and code verification in smart contracts and blockhchains
*Blockchain standards initiatives
*Incentive analysis, mechanism design, and game theory for blockchain systems
*Novel blockchain applications using smart contracts
*Application of analytics to blockchain, including text-mining, data-mining, sentiment analysis, network analysis for privacy, security and trust assessment
Submission Guidelines
Submitted manuscripts must be formatted in standard IEEE camera-ready format (double-column, 10-pt font) and must be submitted via EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bt2018) as PDF files (formatted for 8.5x11-inch paper). The manuscripts should be no longer than 6 pages. Two additional pages are permitted if the authors are willing to pay an over-length charge at the time of publication (manuscripts should not exceed 8 pages). Submitted papers cannot have been previously published in or be under consideration for publication in another journal or conference. The workshop Program Committee reserves the right to not review papers that either exceeds the length specification or have been submitted or published elsewhere. Submissions must include a title, abstract, keywords, author(s) and affiliation(s) with postal and e-mail address(es).
Review and Publication of Manuscripts
Submitted papers will be reviewed by the workshop Program Committee and judged on originality, technical correctness, relevance, and quality of presentation. An accepted paper must be presented at the ICCCN 2018 venue by one of the authors registered at the full registration rate. Each workshop registration covers up to two workshop papers by an author. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the ICCCN proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEE Xplore® Digital Library if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
When uploading a camera-ready at IEEE, note that the paper title, author names/affiliation and order must be IDENTICAL to the original submission for peer reviewing. No title change, author addition or removal is allowed.
Camera-ready and registration due date is May 10, 2018. Check ICCCN homepage to find detailed instructions. Please try to complete the process as early as possible in order to avoid the rush hour, giving you time to deal with unexpected but possible issues/delay.
Journal Special Issue
Selected papers, with enhanced content, will be published in a Special Issue of the International Journal on Parallel, Emergent, and Distributed Systems.
