Bio-inspired computing is a field of study that abstracts computing ideas (data structures, operations with data, ways to control operations, computing models, artificial intelligence, multisource data driven and analysis, etc.) from the living phenomena or biological systems such as cells, tissue, the brain, neural network, immune system, ant colony, and evolution, etc. The areas of bio-inspired computing include Neural Networks, Brain-inspired Computing, Neuromorphic Computing and Architectures, Cellular Automata and Cellular Neural Networks, Evolutionary Computing, Swarm Intelligence, Fuzzy Logic and Systems, DNA and Molecular Computing, Membrane Computing, Artificial Intelligence and its Application in other disciplines such as machine learning, deep learning, image processing, computer science, and cybernetics, etc.
The 14th International Conference on Bio-inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2019) will be held on November 22-25, 2019, in Zhengzhou, China. BIC-TA 2019 is the fourteenth annual event in the high-reputation BIC-TA series. BIC-TA 2019 aims to provide a high-level international forum for researchers working in the field of bio-inspired computing to present their recent study results and to exchange ideas. The conference invites researchers to contribute high-quality original research papers in any aspect of bio-inspired computing, especially papers showing the power and impact of bio-inspired computing in artificial intelligence.
