Introduction
After a five-year hiatus, the Asia Pacific Conference on Vision is returning!
The conference will be held from 10-12 July 2024 at Yale-NUS College, a part of the National University of Singapore. Its aim is to facilitate discussion on vision research in Asia and the Pacific, though participants from all over the world are welcome. Details and updates can be found at the conferece website at https://www.apcv2024.com/
The conference was first held in 2001, organized by the Vision Society of Japan and the Vision Research Group in Korea. Its founding purpose was to stimulate discussion and communication on an international scale, particularly for young researchers. More on the conference's history can be found on the APCV portal at https://sites.google.com/view/apcv-portal

- Visual psychophysics
- Visual neuroscience
- Visual cognition

- Multisensory integration
- Decisions and action

The submission is simple, requiring only:
- Author details
- Abstract title
- Abstract text (up to 300 words)

The city
Singapore is a vibrant city-state located just north of the equator at the tip of the Malay peninsula. The island is only 734 square kilometers, yet contains some five million people. Most Singaporeans are ethnically Chinese, Indian, and Malay, and these different backgrounds combine with global influences to produce a culture of diverse food, architecture, religion, art, and institutions. Many cultural elements reflect their origins, but they also have unique combinations and expressions in Singapore.
Despite being a bustling and effiicient metropolis, Singapore is also a "city in a garden". Tended greenery abounds, as do wilder areas in both the island's center and its coasts.
The venue
Yale-NUS College is a residential liberal arts college founded by the National University of Singapore and Yale University in 2011. Its beautiful facilities include a performance hall, lecture spaces, a black box theatre, a library, and a multipurpose hall--all built around a green space and pond. The conference will enjoy the use of these spaces, and it is also a convenient launching point for exploring other parts of Singapore.
