Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), is organizing “AIUB International Conference on Business and Management (AICBM)-2018” which will be held in November 23-24, 2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference aims to provide a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and recent developments in the field of Business and Management. The conference is also expected to foster networking, collaboration and joint effort among the conference participants to advance the theory and practice as well as to identify major trends in Business and Management based on global contemporary practices.
Objective:
The primary objective of the conference is to recognize the global issues in order to achieve progressive social and economic changes. This conference will discuss relevant topics in order to provide a holistic vision on sustainable development. The objectives are as follows
- The conference aims at promoting and developing a demand-driven and practice-oriented research work on global issues.
- Researchers will highlight the issues hindering developing nations and present research findings to an exclusive audience comprised of national, international researchers and industry experts to achieve practical applications in social transformation
- The conference will facilitate constructive exchange of information, ideas, research findings, best practices, and lessons identified between the researchers and practitioners
- Practitioners will receive different perspectives on current and emerging global business-related issues, which will enable them to modify actions based on research findings;
- The conference will create a unique environment for participants to establish professional networks in their respective fields, particularly with representatives from academician, researchers and practitioners.
Submission Guidelines
The content order of the paper should be as follows:
- Title Page - this page should be provided as a separate attachment and should include the Title of the paper, Author/co-author names and contact details (including email addresses), an Abstract (250 words maximum) and Keywords (up to 8).
- Main Body of Paper – this should include the various sections and subsections of the paper. Figures and Tables should be included as part of the manuscript and not at the end.
- All accepted paper’s abstracts will be published in the Book of Proceedings.
- Length of paper for selected journal publications - this must not be longer than 15 pages including the title page, main body, tables, figures and references.
- References –most commonly used Elsevier Referencing System.
The format of the paper should be as follows:
- Papers should be 1.5 line spacing throughout
- Font to be used for the Title of the paper in the Title page should be in capital letters, centred, bold, and Times New Roman 16-point font. The font to be used for the Abstract and Main Body of the Paper should be Times New Roman 12-point font.

- Titles in the abstract and main body should be left justified, bold, Times New Roman 14-point font, and each major word should be capitalized.
- Subtitles in the main body should be left justified, italic, Times New Roman 12-point font, and only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized.
- Sub sub-titles should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. If they are to be included they should be left justified, italic, Times New Roman 12-point font, and only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized.
- Titles and subtitles should be numbered such as, 1, 1.1; 2, 2.1; 3, 3.1; 4, 4.1; 5, 5.1…
- The page size should be A4 formatting
- 2.5cm margins should be used on all sides (left, right, top, bottom)
- Authors and co-authors should provide full name, affiliation and e-mail address only. NB This information should be provided on a separate sheet and authors should not be identified anywhere else in the article. Papers containing author’s information will not be further processed.
- Abstracts should contain no more than 250 words for complete paper. Write concisely and clearly. The abstract should reflect only what appears in the original paper.
- Please provide up to 8 Keywords which encapsulate the principal topics of the paper.
- Endnotes, Headers or Footers should not be used.
- All Tables, Figures (charts, diagrams and line drawings) and Plates (photographic images) should be included as part of the manuscript. Supply clear captions for all tables, figures and plates.
- Tables/figures should be no more than a single page each. If the data is too large for a single table, please consider another way of presenting your data.
- The font to be used in a table/figure is 10pt Times New Roman, bold and text included in the final processed tables.
- No cells except headings in tables and figures should not be coloured. In case you need to draw attention to a particular datum then use only a shade of grey.
- Captions for figures must be placed underneath the art and tables on top. Captions are in 10pt Times New Roman in bold. The placement of the caption below the art removes the chance that the figure and the caption become separated across page boundaries.
