The International Symposium on Wearable Robotics (WeRob 2019) will be held for the second time in Houston, Texas, USA. Through the sponsorship of TIRR Memorial Hermann, it will be held in October in the Texas Medical Center, the largest in the world. In the 2019 edition, WeRob will highlight not only applications in rehabilitation but also the expanding role of wearable robots in promoting healthy aging and safety in the workplace. There will be interactive workshops with engineers, clinicians and end users to promote collaboration among different disciplines, and a product theater demonstrating the latest in wearable exoskeletons and robots. The symposium will showcase the expertise of international speakers from academia, government, industry, and rehabilitation centers, as well as the experience and feedback of end users of robotic devices. Our Academic parteners are UTHealth McGovern Medical School, University of Houston College of Engineering, Rice University College of Engineering, and the Neural Rehabilitation Group, Cajal Institute, Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) Madrid, Spain
Submissions
We seek original contributions on all topics in wearable robotics and call for the submission of regular technical papers. Research reports, case studies, or demonstration projects will be reviewed for relevance to wearable robotics. Additional criteria will consider if your submission adds to existing knowledge or is innovative/cutting edge topic, contributes to the major content areas of the conference, or promotes interdisciplinary collaborations.
Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Accepted technical paper sessions at WeRob2019 will be invited to present as an Oral or a Poster Presentation. Late breaking abstracts will not be published in IEEE Xplore but will be distributed with conference proceedings.
At least one author of the paper must register and attend the symposium in order to upload a final paper. Full symposium registrations entitle the registered author for a maximum of 2 papers. Reduced registrations (including student registrations and single day registrations) entitle the registered author for a maximum of 1 paper. If you are submitting more than two contributions you need to complete a new registration for 2 extra papers.
Authors must register before September 15, 2019. Otherwise, the paper will be excluded from conference program and proceedings.
Instructions for Authors
