Globally, wildlife conservation is threatened by habitat loss, species extinction, and the impact of tourism on natural ecosystems. The Department of Wildlife Management and Tourism Studies at the University of Namibia, Katima Mulilo Campus presents a call for papers for presentation at The Wildlife Management and Tourism Conference 2024 (WMTC24). Themed "Harmony in Wildlife Conservation and Tourism", the conference presents an opportunity to upscale the discourse on the symbiotic relationship between wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism and proffer innovative strategies for fostering sustainable and ecofriendly tourism practices. The theme of the conference signifies a commitment to understanding and mitigating the adverse effects of tourism on wildlife, while also harnessing its potential to support conservation efforts and community development. WMTC24 offers an excellent platform for experts, practitioners, researchers, policymakers, scholars and stakeholders to exchange knowledge and develop actionable and sustainable solutions for promoting wildlife conservation and tourism. WMTC24 is aptly held in the Zambezi region, within the Kavango Zambezi Trans-Frontier Conservation Area (KAZA-TFCA), an area that is renowned for its rich biodiversity, unique trans-boundary conservation efforts and abundant tourism activities.
