Announcement and Call for Papers
The 2nd USA-China Tourism Research Summit now invites submissions in English or Chinese for stand-up presentations relevant to the following themes/topics within the domain of USA-China hospitality and tourism:
- Emerging issues in international travel and tourism practice
- Factors impacting US-China tourism exchange
- Chinese tourist behaviors, experiences, decision-making, and satisfaction
- Service management of outbound Chinese tourists
- Sustainable tourism development in China
- Social media (e.g., WeChat) and emerging technologies (e.g., virtual reality, 3-D postcards) in destination marketing and management
- Policy, planning, and governance
- Marketing, branding and reputation management
- Human resources management and strategic leadership development
- Innovation, creativity and change management
- Education and training
- Tourism economics and forecasting
- Financial and performance management
- Emerging research methods and methodologies
- Other topics of contemporary significance in hospitality and tourism with an USA-China focus
Submission Guidelines:
- Structured abstracts in English or Chinese are invited on the above conference topics.
- Structured abstracts for both complete research and work-in-progress are welcome.
- Structured abstracts should be no longer than 1200 words (excluding tables, figures, and references) and should follow a research paper structure (e.g., Introduction, Theoretical Foundation/Literature Review, Research Methodology, Research Findings, Conclusions and Implications, and References).
- Structured abstracts must be prepared using the supplied template (double space, Times New Roman, 12-point font size). The reference style for the conference is that of the American Psychological Association (APA). Please use this template to prepare your abstract and replace the text colored in red.
- All submissions should be in MS word (.doc) or PDF format.
- All submitted papers must represent original research that has not been presented in other conferences or published in any journal.
- Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.
- For all accepted paper presentations, at least one of the authors must register for and present the paper at the conference.

Important Deadlines (All in US Eastern Standard Time):
- Abstract submission: 11:59pm EST, July 14th, 2017
- Author notification: 11:59pm EST, August 31st, 2017
Best Paper Awards:
Two best paper awards (one for English submission and one for Chinese submission) will be recommended by reviewers and then competitively selected by the Paper Review Committee.
