The Sub-Saharan Africa Network (SUSAN) of the International Biometrics Society is a network of national biometric groups of the Sub-Saharan Africa countries that promotes the advancement of life sciences through development, application and dissemination of effective mathematical and statistical methods to its members and collaborating partners. This includes applications in agriculture, medical and health research, infectious diseases, environment and ecology, climate, and other applied sciences such as the areas of statistical genetics and bioinformatics.
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 the conference will be virtual.
Submission Guidelines
SUSAN2021 Conference welcomes original research and previously published research(within 3 years) submissions for oral presentation (flash talk) and/or e-poster presentation consideration.All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
- Abstract guidelines
- Abstract should have a maximum length of 300 words length is up to 6400 characters (including spaces) with 1,200 characters for the background, 2,000 for methods, 2,000 for results, and another 1,200 for the conclusion.The abstract should be as informative as possible, and include:
- Background: stating the aim, background and specific objective of study/project/programme
- Methods: shortly describe methods/approach used
- Results: summarize results/impact of your study/project/programme
- Conclusions: state conclusions reached and the policy implications of your work.
- At most 7 key words
- The maximal number of submissions per author/co-author is 3.
- Name/affiliation/email of submitter (assumed to be the presenter;).
- Names/affiliations/email of ALL co-authors . Note that all co-authors have to agree to the submission. It is the responsibility of the submitter to guarantee that all co-author email addresses are correct (email notifications of the submission will be sent to all co-authors).
