SSTF 2019: 3rd Samsung Security Tech Forum
- Open Tech Talk
In the ever-changing cyber environments, security is becoming increasingly important and critical. The Samsung Security Tech Forum (SSTF) is the premier security forum in Korea hosted by Samsung Research. This year's forum will highlight its inaugural Open Tech Talk that would provide students with the opportunity to present their exciting research results and discuss relevant challenges with security experts in diverse fields. Open Tech Talk solicits submissions from students. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Security in 5G
- Security for AI / AI for security
- Privacy-preserving technologies
- System security
- Software security (incl. Security testing & vulnerability analysis)
- Exploit development techniques
* Security challenges in other emerging technologies are also encouraged.
IMPORTANT DATES
- Abstract submission deadline: July 5 (Fri.), 2019
- Notification to authors: July 19 (Fri.), 2019
- Submission of final presentation materials: July 27 (Sat.), 2019
- Open Tech Talk: August 20 (Tue.), 2019
Certificate/Award
- All final presenters will be given Certificate signed by Samsung
- Two winners will be selected for the Best Research Award and Best Presentation Award.
SUBMISSION
1. Submission policy
- You may submit more than one abstract, but each abstract must be submitted via a separate submission form.
- If you already presented the same material at other security event or conference, you must submit an abstract with a clear statement including what further progress you will introduce and where the previous presentations were made.
2. Language: Korean or English
3. Each presentation will last, at most, 25 mins.
4. You must be students (including graduate students)
5. For all accepted abstracts, the presenters must submit the presentation deck (either PPT or PDF format) by July 27, 2019. It is mandatory to use the presentation template provided by SSTF.
6. The selected presenters must guarantee that they will make a presentation at Open Tech Talk. Each presentation will be included in the proceedings of Open Tech Talk.

All submissions will be reviewed by members of steering committee listed below. In addition, if necessary, we may invite additional external reviewers.
